Catherine N. Tchanqué-Fossuo, MD, MS, FAAD is a graduate of the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France. She received a Master of Science degree in Toxicology from American University, and her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University. After training in general surgery for 3 years prior, she pursued a plastic surgery research fellowship at the University of Michigan, followed by a fellowship in burn, critical care and plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins, where she developed a keen interest in dermatology. She proceeded with a clinical fellowship in wound care for diabetic and venous leg ulcers at the University of California, Davis. Successively, she completed a dermatology residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Tchanqué-Fossuo is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, who is currently practicing in New Mexico. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Tchanqué-Fossuo’s interests include general and procedural dermatology, and improving dermatologic access to care in a rural setting via community service and public education.
